How to commit
- 1. Email Zaal with the track you want (Main Stage / Broadcast / Year-Round) and any custom asks.
- 2. We send a simple partner agreement. Tax docs (W-9 from Fractured Atlas via New Media Commons) follow if you are routing tax-deductible support.
- 3. Partner contribution due by September 20 to lock printed materials.
- 4. You ship your logo file by September 25 for all merch, stage, and broadcast use.
- 5. Oct 3 - you are named on the stage, the broadcast, the website, and the day.
FAQ
Is this tax-deductible?v
Yes, if you take the public path. ZAO Festivals offers two sponsor paths. Public path: funds route through Fractured Atlas (501(c)(3) public charity) and New Media Commons (a fiscally sponsored project of Fractured Atlas), then through ENTERACT for production. Tax receipt issued by Fractured Atlas. Standard 6-8% admin via FA plus 2% ENTERACT treasury. Net to production around 90-92%.
Can we sponsor without the tax-deductible piece?v
Yes, take the commercial path. Direct sponsorship through ENTERACT (2% treasury), no Fractured Atlas admin fee. Payment is 50% upfront, 50% before delivery. Net to production around 98%. Faster and simpler if you do not need the tax receipt - the trade-off is no charitable deduction.
What do you do with the funds?v
Funds cover artist pay and materials for the event. ZAOstock operates at break-even.
Who is The ZAO?v
An independent community of musicians and digital creators, active since 2023. Two community events ran so far: ZAO-PALOOZA in NYC, April 2024; ZAO-CHELLA in Miami, December 2024. ZAOville in the DMV is co-hosted with DCoop (founder of The Village Entertainment Collective) in July 2026 - cross-promotion across the series since DCoop performed at ZAO-CHELLA Miami 2024 and returns for ZAOstock. Lineup includes PROF!T, ELYVN, and more. ZAOstock 2026 is the next event - a one-day festival in Ellsworth Maine, part of the 9th Annual Art of Ellsworth during Maine Craft Weekend. Co-presented with Heart of Ellsworth and the Town of Ellsworth.
How many people show up?v
ZAOstock runs during Maine Craft Weekend, pulling steady foot traffic from visitors heading to Acadia National Park. We are also marketing to our 100+ member community and partner networks. Target: several hundred attendees plus digital livestream reach.
Can we customize the package?v
Yes. Everything is modular. If you have a specific ask (booth placement, product integration, named stage, etc), let us talk.
What is the deadline?v
We are locking partners by September 15, 2026 to hit print and digital deadlines. Earlier is better - it means more of the promo runway between now and Oct 3 to feature you.
Can we pay in USDC or stablecoins?v
Yes. USDC on Base preferred. Check, wire, or card also fine - tax-deductible support for qualifying initiatives is administered through New Media Commons, a fiscally sponsored project of Fractured Atlas, in coordination with ENTERACT.
